6/2020/0256/NMA Non-material amendment for 1) BRICKS: We are requesting to amend the brickwork style from Flemish bond to stretcher bond 2) ROOF TILES: We are requesting to amend the style of roof tile from a Pantile to a Plain Tile Both of these requests have been discussed with Emily Stainer and Maria Kitts as part of our approval of details submission "PP-09489097". It was recommended that we submit a "non material amendment" prior to the discharge of conditions application being approved. This is because the materials conflict with the wording of approved plans and conditions. 12/04/2021 10/05/2021 1) BRICKS: Our architect made a mistake and thought the original dwelling was constructed using Flemish bond brickwork. As such the planning permission was approved on the basis of Flemish bond brickwork. The existing dwelling is actually done is stretcher bond and we would like to request an amendment to keep it in that design please. 2) ROOF TILES: We specified pantiles in the original planning permission application. However, we've had strong recommendations from each of the builders tendering for the job to use plain tiles instead of pantiles. Pantiles are fine to use for a simple "up and over roof" structure. However, in our approved roof design, you will notice there are a number of valleys and two dormer windows. Is isn't possible to use valley tiles in combination with pantiles. As a consequence, the valleys on the roof would look rather unsightly as the pantiles would need to be cut by hand at angles which would look messy and could expose the lead beneath. That was our justification for using a plain tile which are also very commonly used within this part of the conservation area.
