To Welywn Hatfield Planners, My family and i purchased an apartment within the 'James Court' development. It is my understanding this is now going by the name' Barham Court' (something we were not made aware of!) where application for change of use of the commercial space had been put forward to you. We were always assured by the developers that the commercial space would only be used alongside an A1, A2, B1 licence and at no point could it be used for a restaurant. I would like to strongly object to change of use being granted. We purchased the property on the understanding that the commercial space would not be used as a restaurant, or selling any hot food, and if we was made aware would never have purchased the property.
